This is actually one of the simpler handcrafted Shadow Boxes created by Osvaldo Menegazzi. Most are larger and more intricate. The size of this particular box is 15 by 7 inches. The outer box is collaged with Tarot themed papers and Visconti inspired collaged shapes accent the top. Inside the glass protected showcase - many wooden shapes are collaged with well-known Visconti Tarot cards. An actual Visconti card often inspires the box theme and acts as the centerpiece (in this case the Chariot Card is honored). Tarot scrolls, wax seals, as well as the artist's name inscribed on a gold plate add a dramatic touch.
