The following deck making option was brought to my attention by
a lovely woman named Barbara Fahringer. She was
considering making a deck with one of the methods shared on my site but in the
meantime discovered this
website
by 'Plain Cards'. They have created a program that helps you design and print
out a deck very easily and cost effectively. They also
sell the special perforated card stock. Your choices here are: either blank on both sides, or if
you prefer, a plastic coated design on the backs with blank
fronts If you've ever made your own business cards following a program on your computer that you then printed
out, folded and tore apart on the dotted lines well then, you've got the idea.
At the time they were working on a similar program for Tarot cards which is now available (see additional notes below).

This method is convenient and easy...and reasonably priced as well. You pay a one time fee to
register the downloadable program ($12.95) and its yours to use whenever. They
also sell a few types of card stock in different price packages to suit your needs and
budget (and a specially formulated card-coating spray to use if you are buying
the blank/white on both sides type of perforated card stock, which as is, has no
protective coating).
Download the program, pay a 1-time registration fee. Here
are some template styles. Tarot templates also available.

Addendum: Some Exciting News to Report (Sept 6th 2006)
In August 2006 'Plain Cards' finished designing a downloadable
program specifically for Tarot decks. They carry blank card printable sheets the standard 2.75" x 4.75" Tarot card
size. (4 blank perforated, round-cornered cards per page; 22 sheets/88 cards per pack in either matte or coatable
card stock - cost $12.50). They have the ‘plastic playing card’ spray ($7.50) for a protective card
finish (mentioned previously). I had a chance to experiment a wee bit with their products and in my estimation,
the focus seems more on ease of use and a reasonable total production cost or
investment rather then superior printing (it is a decent enough jpeg quality).
They also have links to free photo editing programs and other helpful information. For more details
on these exciting new Tarot tools check out this new web page on their site:

Oh, one more thing...if you would like sample cards from them, please send a
