The cards are printed on softly textured, cream-colored matte cardstock which adds to the charm of this special collection. This beautiful deck is recommended tfor collectors and Tarot art history enthusiasts. Only 100 numbered, signed copies are available in the standard size.

Biography of Bartolomeo Cesi (1556 - 1629)
Cesi was born into a wealthy family and received his artistic training from Giovanni Francesco Bezzo (Nosadella). Cesi was a painter during the Baroque era of the Bolognese School. In Bologna he contributed artwork to the Duomo (Bologna Cathedral), Santo Stefano and the Basilica of San Domenico. Cesi adopted the strict beliefs of the Counter Reformation movement while working on the alter, vault and crypt of the Bologna Cathedral. He believed his life work was solely meant for promoting the Roman Catholic doctrine and exercising his strict faith. Cesi founded a second Bologna painter’s guild in 1599 with his colleague, Ludovico Carracci. He became the Accademia degli Ardenti’s drawing master in 1620. Cesi’s painting were profoundly influenced by his religion and emphasized clarity and focus.
