A woman in chains is about to be judged and sentenced by a half circle of bearded old men. Ghosts of women past look on gravely, while recognizing the generational effects this verdict may hold, as do the two modern women in a golden doorway. Two women, on their knees plead for mercy on her behalf, while risking their own freedom in this oppressive environment.
