Osvaldo Menegazzi of Il Meneghello has decided to make available a series of unique and prized Tarot
sets of important Italian and
International artists. So collectors, don't miss out on this opportunity to acquire these special editions!
Many great artists have regarded the world of Tarot with respect and appreciation. The magic and mystery of Tarot has aroused much
intrigue and stimulated the imagination and creativity of some of the most acclaimed artists of all time. Artists such as
Salvador Dalì and Renato Guttuso for example, have given us unforgettable Tarot decks. Contemporary artists continue this
long held tradition and ritual of creating a deck in their own distinctive styles. These artistic techniques come in all
forms since Tarot is both a classical tradition as well as being a system open to
creative interpretation; it lends itself beautifully to an artist's portfolio of persona expression and exploration.
FRANCO GENTILINI 1909-1981:
Gave the world a new interpretation of the tarot while also tying it to the traditional approach and content. His vision stemmed from
research of the more ancient studies of the Arcana. A Bolognese painter of the early 1900's, Franco Gentilini was immersed
in the atmosphere of modern artistic innovations and influences of that era:
impressionism, tonal painting,
and cubism.
He has been acknowledged and acclaimed throughout the world for many private and group exhibitions in Chicago, Cincinnati, Tokyo,
Kyoto, London, Toronto and New York. He was flown to New York for the magazine “Fortune” where he painted
the bridges of New York and then toured with his art exhibitions in several major cities throughout America.
FRANCO GENTILINI’s 1975 TAROT BOX + BOOK SET:
In an elegant blue velvet box containing the full 78 Arcana divided into two sections.
The book, (with a text by Patrick Waldberg, “Arcanographie” in French), describes the creation of the deck
including photos of the cards and a biography of the artist.
Card Size: mm. 76 x 116 mm (3 in. x 4.5 inches)
Printed in a limited edition on special paper Fedrigoni – Verona – Italy.

ROBERTA MUSI:
An established and internationally known artist; Roberta Musi was born in Parma and dedicated her life to
art,
in fields ranging from stage design, to ceramics and engraving. The hallmark of this artist is
the horse theme which
has predominated her work since 1978. A new publication dedicated to her
contributions has been the realization of vintage postcards
transferred to
canvas and then revised.
ROBERTA MUSI’S TAROT - ONE SET of ONLY 50 EXEMPLARY COPIES – #15/50
This collection was presented in 1992 at the art Gallery “La Nuova Sfera” in Milan.
The tarot cards were created by etching; an ancient and revered technique. The engravings
were done on copper; a material that for the artist captured the colors, by way of the sun, (the source of life).
The artist in creating this deck explained that it is based on life and how it was formed, from the 4 vital elements: air, water,
earth and fire. The reoccurring themes are that we, as humanity, are immersed in the air, forged from water,
and are of earth and a fire
that burns within us, which is fueled by a desire to know. We are part of the universe,
and as such are a universe ourselves.
Each card in this rare collection is numbered and signed by the artist.
