Futurismo "Numero 2"
It may be known that Osvaldo Menegazzi created the original art and deck set known as '
22 Arcani Futuristi'
in 2009 to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Futurist Movement (founded in Italy), but what may come as
a shock is that the original artworks of that deck were stolen! Undaunted, our master craftsman gathered his tools
and art supplies and set to work to create a new version of 22 Arcani Futuristi which is called Futurismo
"Numero 2". This page showcases this newer set which is equally if not more fabulous than the original.
This is also a deck of brightly colored symbols, in keeping with the spirit of the
Futurist art movement,
and the designs are based on 22 Major Arcana created by Osvaldo.
The matching hand-crafted box is also a treasure to behold.
Each box is made by Osvaldo and uniquely different from the rest while displaying imagery
from the deck along with
a handwritten title, the shop's logo and Osvaldo's signature hot wax seal.
In February 2010, the smaller version of the deck was sent to Arnell in California and the following photos
and scans were taken.
As with all of Osvaldo's recent handcrafted deck and box sets, each deck has a signed & numbered signature card
in beautiful hand drawn calligraphy on specialty paper. The deck is richly symbolic and the artwork
is mounted on thick cardstock with a dark brown paper wrapping around to the front of the cards and folded
down at each corner, giving it a classy, antique look. The very limited edition, hand-crafted collectable
comes in two sizes (details below). It would surely be a treasure
in any Tarot art collection! This set became available in 2010.
A small version of this deck & box set is shown below. This particular set has a wooden 'door knob' handle. Each box looks a bit different and is one of a kind. From this side of the box, the 'Il Meneghello shop logo can be seen.

The small version of this set is again shown below but from this side of the box, the title of the deck in a beautiful script is mounted on thick board, (as with most of the art on the box), to give it a cool 3 D look.

Currently two versions of Futurismo "Numero 2" deck & box set are available:
Box sizes are approximate as they are all a bit different in size and presentation.
1) Large Size Box: 8 in. tall x 5 inches wide, 20 cm x 12 cm.
Cards: approximately 6'' tall x 4'' wide - 15.25 cm x 10 cm.
Only 36 signed and numbered sets will be made.
Price: € 250. (U.S. $385. depending on exchange rate, bank fees & P&H)
2) Small Size Box: 6 in. tall x 3 inches wide, 15.25 cm x 7.62 cm.
Cards: around 3 1/2" tall x 2 1/4'' wide - 8.9 cm x 5.75 cm
Only 36 signed and numbered sets will be made.
